Son point focal \u00e9tait situ\u00e9 \u00e0 17,5 m au-dessus du niveau de la mer et depuis lors, il est devenu un point de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence essentiel.<\/p>\n<p>Sa lumi\u00e8re guidait aussi bien les navires transportant le sel des \u00e9tangs des Salinases de San Rafael et des anciennes Salinases de Roquetas de Mar, que les navires \u00e0 plus grand tirant d&rsquo;eau ou directement d&rsquo;autres navires commerciaux. Son architecture, sobre mais robuste, s&rsquo;int\u00e8gre parfaitement au paysage. Un b\u00e2timent d&rsquo;un seul \u00e9tage avec une tour s&rsquo;\u00e9levant vers le ciel, coiff\u00e9 d&rsquo;une lanterne polygonale.<\/p>\n<p>Tout au long de son histoire, le phare fut t\u00e9moin de nombreux \u00e9v\u00e9nements et de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution de la commune. Cependant, avec le passage des ann\u00e9es et la croissance urbaine, la lumi\u00e8re du phare commen\u00e7ait \u00e0 se confondre avec celle des habitations proches et la construction d&rsquo;un nouveau port dot\u00e9 d&rsquo;une signalisation moderne le rendit obsol\u00e8te, cessant son activit\u00e9 en 1945.<\/p>\n<p>Mais loin de tomber dans l&rsquo;oubli, ce bel \u00e9difice, propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;entreprise publique Puertos de Andaluc\u00eda et g\u00e9r\u00e9 par la mairie de Roquetas de Mar, a fait l&rsquo;objet d&rsquo;une r\u00e9habilitation minutieuse pour retrouver sa splendeur originelle.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, le phare de Roquetas est devenu un espace culturel dynamique. C&rsquo;est \u00e7a l&rsquo;accueil constamment des expositions temporaires, tous les 15 jours, pr\u00e9sentant de l&rsquo;art, de la photographie, l&rsquo;histoire locale et toute initiative culturelle souhaitant se d\u00e9marquer.<\/p>\n<p>Le phare est une pi\u00e8ce ma\u00eetresse du triangle culturel de Roquetas de Mar, au c\u00f4t\u00e9 de l&rsquo;auditorium en plein air voisin et du ch\u00e2teau de Santa Ana.
